Mark Koester
Chief Executive Officer

Mark Koester has been active in the water and wastewater industry in Upstate New York for over 30 years. Mark has a degree in Sanitary Engineering and retains leadership positions in the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) and New York Rural Water Association (NYRWA). He remains active in the American Water Works Association and local Water Works affiliates.

Gregg Palmer
President

Gregg has successfully led strategic sales and business development efforts in the municipal market for over 20 years. He began his career with Poly Processing Company, and as National Sales Manager he developed a successful sales and marketing strategy that led the company to become an industry leader in chemical storage tanks.

Gregg joined Koester in 2013, further increasing the company’s ability to offer clients comprehensive solutions to their community’s water and wastewater goals. In 2022, Gregg was promoted to President and continues to use his talents and vision to ensure Koester remains a leader in our industry.

Gregg is an active member NYWEA.

Noelle Markle
Chief Operating Officer

Noelle is a detail-oriented, leadership-driven professional with a diverse background. Bringing over 15 years of experience in administrative and executive business management, Noelle provides an attentive, strategy-driven approach to our team. Her emphasis on mentoring and incorporating role models guarantees success and growth.

Noelle is excited to bring her talents and expertise to the Koester Associates family. While fairly new to the water and wastewater industry, one of her strengths is being able to smoothly and efficiently transition her skills as she expands her knowledge in this field.

Michael Ademovic
Senior Vice President

Michael Ademovic joined the water and wastewater industry in 2013, when he joined his family’s business Burgh Schoenenberger Associates. Mike has been working with industry professionals on a variety of instrumentation, control, and pumping system and process projects. Mike’s attention to detail and experience on equipment offers end-users, contractors, and engineers’ confidence in providing effective solutions. Mike is heavily involved with Western NY and Genesee Valley water works affiliates.

Jacob Scherer, P.E., 
Senior Vice President of Downstate Operations

Jacob has 25 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry with increasing levels of responsibilities from engineering, sales and ownership management.  Jacob earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1988 and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from St. John Fisher College.

He has been newly appointed as Senior Vice President of Downstate Operations and will be working out of the Kinnelon, New Jersey office.  He is a licensed P.E. in both New York and Pennsylvania.
